In 1967, Charlew (Charles Lewandowski) Construction Company was incorporated as a family-owned business with Lawrence Lewandowski and brother Charles J. Lewandowski, Jr. as principals. The company was founded on a commitment to value, craftsmanship and service instilled in these brothers by their father, Charles J. Lewandowski, Sr. Since 1967 Charlew has built and sold more than 3000 homes in 48 neighborhoods across the Capital Region, to become one of the largest homebuilders in the area.<\/p>

Today Charlew continues to enjoy an outstanding reputation as one of New York\u2019s premier homebuilders. In 2009, Corey Lewandowski, third generation builder, now president of Charlew Builders, Inc., continues the commitment to excellence instilled by his family.<\/p>

More than 200 suppliers and subcontractors in the region participate in building a Charlew home. In addition to state of the art design and construction techniques, every Charlew home is built with energy conservation features that provide more comfort for every family, while protecting our natural resources. Charlew’s Exclusive Limited Transferable Warranty<\/h1>

Charlew’s building standards meet and, in many cases, exceed the accepted standards of our competitors, as well as national and local builders\u2019 associations. Thus, we stand by the quality of every home bearing the Charlew name. In addition to any manufacturers’ warranties for products contained in our homes \u2013 and as part of the Charlew Homeowner Protection Plan \u2013 Charlew provides a transferable Limited Warranty; up to 100% of the purchase price. Items covered under this Warranty include those detailed in the Accepted Standards Section of the Protection Plan and those listed on the Final Inspection Form generated at Orientation. The Charlew goal is to confirm that our standards have been met before the pre-closing Home Orientation takes Place.<\/p>

    10 YEAR MAJOR STRUCTURAL DEFECT COVERAGE<\/h3>

    Defective workmanship, materials, and design in load bearing portions of the home that result in unsafe, unsanitary, or unlivable conditions.All coverages are for defects that fail to meet the Accepted Standards of Charlew as outlined in the Protection Plan, or the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code. Clear, effective communication is an important element of the builder\/ homeowner relationship at Charlew .
